The John Laffin Travel Prize – University of NSW

The John Laffin Travel Prize is donated to the School of History at University of NSW in accordance with the objectives of the John Laffin Memorial Fund.

The award is presented to the student with the highest mark achieved in a research essay set in HIST2078/AUST  In the Firing Line: Australians at War. The $A2,500 prize is to assist the winner to further their studies by travelling overseas to visit World War 1 Battlefields.

The inaugural John Laffin Travel Prize was awarded in 2005 to Sam McSkimming. The 2006 Prize was awarded to John Holland and in 2007 the winner was Laura Grumley.
